Palin, Tea Party; Endorse Rand Paul

Sarah Palin, who became a heroine of conservative values among Tea Partyests, has just endorsed Rand Paul, Republican Kentucky candidate for U.S. Senate.  Never mind strict ideological definitions of Libertarian or statists Republican policy.  Like his father, Ron Paul, there is a brand of conservatism that hearkens back to a former time when adherence to our founding documents had traction to make limited government and people power the cornerstone of our Republic.
Never mind the uphill battle against the current Ky. Sec. of State Republican, also seeking the same nomination.  Envision a NY 23rd replay, but this time ready yourself for a Massachusetts outcome, as this time the Tea Party candidate may have the edge.  Already gaining a recognition edge in December, he now receives a PAC check from Sarah Palin along with her endorsement; something that certainly won't hurt in the land of Bourbon, Daniel Boone, and whatever else a Derby horse brings to DC.  (ok. I admit it; forgive last comment as an Obama moment).  Nevertheless, throw in an anti-incumbent mood, a desire to reform our government, and a full speed ahead to do it at the ballot box, and you have a recipe for a brewing tempest from a Kentucky tea pot.
Caution.  Beware of those wanting to use grassroots conservatives for their own purposes and not all tea partyests follow in lockstep.  Not one of us is ideological pure, for even Palin endorsed maverick John McCain's candidacy that is more progressive than conservative.
